  1. in response to FT Executive Appointments 01.12 2011

Mentoring offer last week, Executive Appointments gave a voice to the UK’s unemployed graduates with a feature by Jazz Jagger. Among the responses to her article is this one from Sarah Dudney, a City headhunter with her own business, Ignite. She makes an unusual offer: “My belief is that employability today at any level is about behaviours and attitudes rather than skills. I also believe that there are key disciplines that can be taught about how to face the job market. I would be delighted to set up a pro bono project over the next three months with, say, two young and unemployed people. We could work through a programme of an hour a week of group mentoring to see if my methodology can help. I cannot promise job offers but I can teach how to maximise opportunities.” To apply, send an email to recruitment@ft.com.
