Meyler Campbell Digest: December 2021

This month our monthly Digest includes: a Seasonal Message from our CEO Catherine Devitt, news about the work that Meyler Campbell has accomplished in 2021, and how you might be able to offer your support to not-for-profit, charitable organisations that Meyler Campbell supports.

A SEASONAL MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

Dear friends

Well it’s that time of year again and I have been musing on all that has happened during 2021. It has been a pretty momentous year for Meyler Campbell and call me a cock-eyed optimist if you will but despite the continuing uncertainty we all face I believe that we are set fair for a great year in 2022.

This year has proved to me yet again how strong the Meyler Campbell community is, a strength born out of the kindness, generosity and open-mindedness which marks our coaches out from all others. You have continued to step up, to support your clients and each other, to offer help, to share your skills and talents and to always be there for anything we have asked of you. I am eternally grateful for all of your support, thank you.

In that spirit of generosity this month’s Digest is all about giving. Firstly, we are announcing the winners of this year’s John Stopford Scholarship which we were delighted to award earlier this month, congratulations and welcome to Josette Vignon Makong and Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa

We are also taking this opportunity to showcase some of the wonderful charities and voluntary organisations supported by Meyler Campbell, many of which are led by former John Stopford scholarship winners and all of whom value the pro bono coaching and other support they receive from this community.  There is always more we can do and if you would like to know how you can help or if you have space in your portfolio for a pro bono coaching assignment then please click here.

In 2021 we managed to achieve a number of things despite the exigencies of the pandemic, to name just a few: we changed ownership; we continued to build out the team and the faculty; we offered more CPD offerings than ever before; we had a wonderful celebratory graduation ceremony; we completed the Coaching the NHS scheme; and to top it all, we launched Connected+ which I hope that you will all gift to yourselves this Christmas, go on, you deserve it!  In this Digest we are also gifting you the latest Meyler Campbell guide, a guide to all things digital in coaching and building a coaching business to help you to stay abreast of digital developments to support your practice.

Looking ahead we have more big plans for 2022, not least of which will be the launch of our new Team Coaching programme in Q1 – watch this space for more news on this early in the new year with further developments to follow throughout 2022.

While we will continue to build out our offering in the year to come one thing that will not change will be our commitment to continuing to build a richly diverse and eclectic community of the best coaches in the world. We will do this by continuing to welcome all new members to our community and by creating the conditions where we can all be fully seen, appreciated and valued for all that we are and all that we bring.

In closing I would just like to wish you and everyone that you love a peaceful and happy festive season, full of joy and love. And if you’re feeling anything like I am at the end of this tumultuous year then I hope that you have the opportunity to have a proper rest and to recharge your batteries and restore yourself in preparation for 2022. The Meyler Campbell team will certainly all be doing that and to that end we are downing tools and shutting up shop from today (17th December) until the 4th of January.

Thank you for all that you are and all that you do and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2022.

Warmly, Catherine
CEO, Meyler Campbell
