Guy Ashton

Guy brings a remarkable combination of long and successful front-line leadership experience in complex global organisations, strong financial expertise, masters-level studies in psychology, a history in training and education, and a deep commitment to the power and impact of coaching.

Guy had 29 years’ financial services experience of which 19 were in investment banking. He successfully managed businesses, teams and departments in Europe, Asia and globally. The common thread in his work was leading, managing and coaching talented, client-facing professionals whilst dealing with growth, restructuring, outsourcing, acquisition, disposals, technology investment, multiple objectives and disparate stakeholders.

A Chartered Accountant and lecturer in accounting and finance, he moved into equity research in the 90s, ending up as Head of European Equity Research, Head of Asia Pacific Research, Global COO for Research and Global Head of Equity Research for a global investment bank.

He now works with entrepreneurs, boards, CEOs and senior executives in Banking, Asset Management, Construction, Real Estate, Media, Management Consulting, Manufacturing, Interior Design, Corporate Finance, Leisure, Agriculture, Law and in the Voluntary Sector. By using active listening, supportive enquiry and sustained interest Guy helps his clients transform their performance.  To do so effectively, he draws on positive psychology and his wide-ranging personal experience, but most importantly, on his respect for people and the resources they can find within themselves.
