Governance & Supervision
Programme Director

Mary Watts

Mary is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at City University, where she formerly held the role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor. For many years she has worked with others to enhance and extend professional practice, learning and change across a range of contexts - including health, education, the police, business and professional bodies; and in a number of roles including coach, supervisor, teacher, consultant, psychotherapist, academic leader and psychologist.

As Programme Director of Mastered, Mary draws heavily on all of her previous experience. The role gives her the pleasure of contributing directly to the professional learning of Programme participants, and indirectly to the learning of their clients and the organisations they work with. In addition, she continues to support individuals working towards professionally focussed Masters- and Doctoral-level qualifications.

As part of her ongoing work with professional bodies, she was recently Chair of both the British Psychological Society's Special Group in Coaching Psychology and the International Congress in Coaching Psychology. She continues to write, and enjoys collaborating on a number of writing projects with Meyler Campbell graduates and others.
