Simon Fenton, Meyler Campbell Interim CEO, reflects on the positive conversations and experiences within the Meyler Campbell community since stepping into the role in January. Now, looking ahead, he shares his areas of focus and his goals to providing continued learning, support, and ongoing business opportunities.
In January, I stepped into the role of interim CEO and introduced myself to the Meyler Campbell community. Now, after my first 90 days, I want to share some reflections and thoughts.
The Meyler Campbell community is very special, as evidenced by the many conversations I’ve had over the past weeks. Our outstanding reputation, which I mentioned in January, is well-deserved, and we have achieved so much over the last 25 years.
Looking ahead, there is even more we can accomplish together. By working collaboratively, sharing our experiences, and showing up as the best leadership coaches, we can continue to reinforce our position of pre-eminence in coaching.
Our faculty has been incredibly supportive, and their role is essential to what makes Meyler Campbell so special, and I want to thank Catherine for her leadership here. Just last week, we had an energising and thought-provoking meeting about the role AI can play in our coaching practices – a topic that will be explored further within the community in May. This was led by Jon Eklöf, a Mastered Graduate, and someone that has a deep understanding of this topic.
I’ve also enjoyed many interactions with the broader community, including a successful Introduction to Mastered event and participation in some of our fabulous CPD events – thanks to our office team that plays such an important part in making these happen as well as their many other activities.
Together with our leadership team, we have been building our Trusted services in response to inquiries for coaches to support 1:1 business and community leaders. Our relationship with Spencer Stuart has also led to a growing number of opportunities.
We are also engaged in delivering a large-scale Unleashed programme to a leading European manufacturing company. This initiative, launched last December, is fascinating as we help train over 90 senior business leaders to embrace coaching principles in their daily activities.
Additionally, we have been focusing on other critical areas, including our website, our technology platform, and thought leadership. This last topic is one that I am keen to explore with members of our community as there is such a wealth of experience and insight that we can share with our wider audiences beyond Meyler Campbell.
Finally, let me just add that we welcome your support in furthering business opportunities across our Mastered, Trusted, and Unleashed offerings and of course, I remain keen to hear from you. What makes Meyler Campbell so special is our shared aspirations and partnership in achieving the best outcomes, so all thoughts and advice is very welcome.
With very best wishes and big thanks to all,
Simon
